In 2023, I had the distinct honor of being selected to create vignettes for Louis Shanks Furniture.

 

Procuring all pieces from the showroom, I created living spaces to complement the fine art photography by distinguished photographer, Greg Davis. Davis is a published and contributing photographer for National Geographic/Disney and was represented by the National Geographic Image Collection for over a decade.

 

 To create a cohesive and respectful design, I considered the following elements:

-Color palette: utilizing earthy tones, such as terra-cotta turquoise, adobe, red, and animal prints.
-Textiles: I incorporated tribal rugs, weavings, pillows, and furniture pieces known for their timeless and durable qualities.
-Materials: Natural elements like wood, stone, and leather, brought earthiness to the spaces.

By thoughtfully combining these elements, I created a space that paid homage to cultural heritage all while highlighting the ethereal nature of Davis' photography.
